Know your admission route first
JMI does not hold one common entrance test for every course. The route depends on the programme you choose.
Many school, UG, PG, diploma and teacher-education programmes are admitted through JMI’s own written test.
Some programmes admit students through NTA’s CUET scores instead of a JMI test.
A few programmes use other national exams, for example JEE Main for B.Tech.
Programmes such as B.Ed., BA LL.B, BFA, MBA and M.Ed. can add an interview, aptitude or practical stage.
Timeline: in the last admission cycle (2026–27), JMI released its prospectus and opened applications on 20 February 2026, and entrance tests began in late April. The 2027–28 prospectus has not been released yet, so always confirm dates, eligibility and the admission route on admission.jmi.ac.in. Read our JMI Entrance 2027–28 preparation guide.

JMI entrance coaching FAQs
When will the JMI 2027–28 admission form be released?
JMI has not released the 2027–28 prospectus yet. In the last cycle the prospectus and applications opened on 20 February 2026 and entrance tests began in late April 2026, so it is best to start preparing well before February. Confirm the final dates on admission.jmi.ac.in.
Does every JMI course have its own entrance test?
No. Many programmes use JMI’s own entrance test, but some admit students through CUET-UG or CUET-PG, and a few use national exams such as JEE Main for B.Tech. Some courses also include an interview or practical test. We confirm the route for your programme before preparation starts.
What is the fee for JMI entrance coaching?
Every course has four options: online, offline, a weekend batch and a 3-month crash course. Class 6 starts at ₹12,000 online (crash course ₹8,000); B.A. programmes are ₹20,000 online and ₹30,000 offline; B.Sc. and B.Ed. are ₹22,000 online and ₹33,000 offline; M.Sc. and MBA are ₹23,000 online and ₹35,000 offline. Scholarships worth ₹2,00,000 are available through the Al-Zahra Scholarship Test on 16 November 2026.
Can I prepare for the JMI entrance online?
Yes. Live online classes include the same syllabus coverage, study material, mock tests and doubt-solving as our classroom batches in Jamia Nagar, so students from any city can prepare.
When should I start preparing for the JMI entrance?
Ideally six to eight months before the test, which means starting by September or October for an April–May exam. Students who join later follow a shorter plan focused on high-weightage topics, previous-year questions and mock tests.
Is Meer Sir Academy part of Jamia Millia Islamia?
No. Meer Sir Academy is an independent coaching institute in Jamia Nagar, New Delhi, and is not affiliated with Jamia Millia Islamia. Admission decisions are made only by the university.
