About JMI M.A. Education
M.A. Education at Jamia Millia Islamia is offered by the Department of Teacher Training and Non-Formal Education (IASE). Admission is through JMI’s own entrance test, which in 2026–27 carried programme code M16.

Shortlisted candidates are also called for an interview or group discussion before the final selection list.
Who can apply
For 2026–27: Bachelor’s degree in any subject with at least 50% marks. Four-year graduates who studied Education for at least four semesters may join a one-year (2-semester) M.A.; three-year graduates join the two-year M.A. Final-year students should check the prospectus for rules on appearing candidates.

Does Jamia Millia Islamia offer M.A. Education?
Yes. JMI offers M.A. Education through the Department of Teacher Training and Non-Formal Education (IASE). Admission is through JMI’s own entrance test (programme code M16 in 2026–27).

Focus on teaching aptitude and methods, child development and pedagogy, educational psychology and philosophy, current issues in Indian education and NEP 2020, general awareness and reasoning and language comprehension. Confirm the syllabus in the 2027–28 prospectus.
