About JMI M.Sc. Chemistry
M.Sc. Chemistry at Jamia Millia Islamia is offered by the Department of Chemistry. Admission is through JMI’s own entrance test, which in 2026–27 carried programme code M26.

Who can apply
For 2026–27: B.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry, or B.Sc. with Chemistry and Physics, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, Computer Science, Geology or Geography, with at least 50% marks in aggregate and at least 55% in Chemistry. One test covers four specialisations: Materials, Inorganic, Organic and Physical Chemistry. Final-year students should check the prospectus for rules on appearing candidates.
