P.G. Diploma in Still Photography & Visual Communication Entrance Coaching
Preparation for the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre's two-semester PG Diploma in Still Photography & Visual Communication.
About PG Diploma in Still Photography & Visual Communication
Still photography and visual communication cover how images are made and how they carry meaning: composition, light, camera technique, photojournalism, documentary, advertising and editorial photography, and the editing and presentation of images.
At JMI the programme is run by the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre (AJK MCRC). The 2026–27 prospectus lists it as a self-financed, two-semester programme with 20 seats.
With a small intake and a creative focus, selection rewards visual sense, awareness of photography and media, and the ability to express ideas clearly in writing as well as in images.

How admission works
JMI's 2026–27 prospectus states that admission to its programmes is made on merit determined by an entrance test conducted by JMI, followed wherever applicable by an interview and/or other components. For a creative programme, practise analysing images in writing as well as taking them.
JMI's prospectus notes that candidates scoring less than 30% in the descriptive part of an entrance test, wherever applicable, are not shortlisted.
