About M.P.T.
Jamia Millia Islamia offers the Master of Physiotherapy (M.P.T.) through its Centre for Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Sciences. It is a regular, self-financed programme of two years (four semesters) under programme code M59. In the latest available session admission was through JMI's own entrance test, with 24 seats split equally across four specialisations.
Sports Sciences covers sports injuries, exercise physiology, biomechanics, strength and conditioning and return-to-sport rehabilitation. Musculoskeletal Sciences deals with orthopaedic assessment, manual therapy, spinal and joint disorders and post-operative care. Neurosciences focuses on neurological assessment, motor control, stroke, spinal cord injury and gait training. Cardiopulmonary Sciences covers cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, chest physiotherapy and ICU care.
The entrance is built on the whole B.P.T. curriculum rather than one specialisation, so a strong common foundation comes first. Dates, the test pattern, fee and the reservation-wise seat matrix for 2027–28 will be in the new JMI prospectus.
