M.Arch. Entrance Coaching
Preparation for the JMI M.Arch written test and AMU's M.Arch. (Construction Management) admission, built on a full revision of B.Arch subjects and your chosen specialisation.
About M.Arch.
Jamia Millia Islamia offers the Master of Architecture through the Department of Architecture in its Faculty of Architecture & Ekistics. The programme runs as a regular, four-semester course, and JMI's architecture information states that admission to the M.Arch. specialisations is through a written test conducted by the university. This is a separate route from B.Arch. admission, which uses NATA.
JMI lists seven study areas: Architecture Pedagogy, Ekistics, Energy & Sustainability, Recreation Architecture, Healthcare Architecture, Building Services and Urban Regeneration. Its updated 2026 material places Architecture Pedagogy, Ekistics, Energy & Sustainability and Recreation Architecture within a flexible M.Arch. framework where the specialisation develops through electives and later academic work.
The entrance rewards a broad, accurate command of undergraduate architecture: design, history and theory, construction, materials, structures, services, environment and planning. As of September 2026 JMI's admission portal still shows the 2026–27 prospectus, so seats, fees, dates and the exact pattern for 2027–28 should be confirmed when the new prospectus is released.
Who can apply
Eligibility for each JMI M.Arch. specialisation, including the qualifying degree and minimum marks, is set out in the JMI prospectus; check the 2027–28 edition before applying. For AMU M.Arch. (Construction Management), the current requirement is B.Arch. or equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CPI/CGPA/NAG.
