M.Sc. Banking and Financial Analytics Entrance Coaching
Focused preparation for the JMI M.Sc. (Banking and Financial Analytics) entrance, combining economics, banking, finance, mathematics, statistics and data interpretation.
About M.Sc. Banking and Financial Analytics
Jamia Millia Islamia offers M.Sc. (Banking and Financial Analytics) as a regular, self-financed programme in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences. The 2026–27 prospectus listed 40 seats and a total fee of ₹77,575 per year under programme code M80. Seats, fee and admission rules can change, so confirm them in the 2027–28 prospectus.
The programme sits where banking and finance meet data and programming. Semester I covers financial economics, banking operations and MIS in the digital era, fundamentals of computer science and programming, mathematics and statistics for banking and finance, Python and R. Semester II covers risk analysis and insurance, corporate finance, database management (with a DBMS lab), optimisation and quantitative analysis, and data visualisation with Power BI and Tableau.
Because of this mix, the entrance should not be prepared as a plain economics test. Strong quantitative ability, a working knowledge of the Indian banking system and speed in data interpretation all matter. Programming is taught in the course; advanced coding is not assumed for entry unless the official syllabus says so.
Who can apply
Graduation in any subject with at least 55% marks, with Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematical Economics or Econometrics as one of the subjects at 10+2 or degree level (2026–27 criteria). B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc. graduates can apply if they meet both conditions. Verify the final conditions in the JMI 2027–28 prospectus.

AMU and CUET PG routes
AMU

CUET PG
Finance and economics programmes at participating universities are usually mapped to papers such as Economics (COQP10) or Commerce (COQP08). JMI's M.Sc. BFA should not be assumed to use CUET PG unless JMI says so for 2027–28.
