About JMI PG diplomas
A PG diploma is a focused qualification for graduates; the PG Diploma in Computer Applications, for example, runs for two semesters. JMI's PG diplomas are spread across many departments and centres: Computer Science (PGDCA), the A.J.K. Mass Communication Research Centre (Broadcast Technology), Architecture (Fire Safety, Lifts and Plumbing Services), English (Translation Proficiency) and the Multidisciplinary Centre for Advanced Research and Studies (Molecular Diagnostics), among others.
Several are self-financed, and some are part-time or evening programmes, such as Translation Proficiency in English (part-time) and Disaster Management (evening). Eligibility depends on the programme: some accept graduates from any discipline, while science, technical and law diplomas ask for a particular bachelor's degree.
PG diplomas are separate from JMI's diplomas and advanced diplomas, which have their own pages.
How JMI admits to PG diplomas
Most JMI PG diplomas are filled through the university's own entrance test, with the date for each programme given in the entrance schedule of the prospectus. Some are filled through CUET-PG instead: for 2026–27, the PG Diploma in Urdu Mass Media used the CUET-PG Urdu paper and the PG Diploma in Iranology the Persian paper.
Performance-based programmes such as Acting may add further selection stages where JMI notifies them. Register on JMI's admission portal for programmes with a JMI test; for CUET-PG programmes, complete both the NTA application and JMI's own registration.

Other JMI PG diplomas
JMI's programme directory also lists the following PG diplomas. Contact us if you are preparing for one of them.
Preparing for a PG diploma entrance
There is no common PG diploma syllabus. A PGDCA aspirant typically needs computer fundamentals, mathematics and reasoning; a TV Journalism candidate needs current affairs, Hindi and media awareness; a GIS candidate needs geography and spatial basics. Start from the official syllabus for your programme, then work through previous questions and timed mock tests.
At Meer Sir Academy we plan preparation programme by programme, with subject classes, general awareness where the test asks for it, and regular mock tests.
