M.Ed. at Jamia Millia Islamia is offered by the Department of Educational Studies. Admission is through JMI’s own entrance test, which in 2026–27 carried programme code M36.

Who can apply
For 2026–27: At least 50% marks or equivalent grade in B.Ed., B.A. B.Ed., B.Sc. B.Ed. or B.El.Ed.; or D.El.Ed. with an undergraduate degree (50% in each). Final-year students should check the prospectus for rules on appearing candidates.

Does Jamia Millia Islamia offer M.Ed.?
Yes. JMI offers M.Ed. through the Department of Educational Studies. Admission is through JMI’s own entrance test (programme code M36 in 2026–27).

Focus on teaching aptitude and methods, child development and pedagogy, educational psychology and philosophy, current issues in Indian education and NEP 2020, general awareness and reasoning and language comprehension. Confirm the syllabus in the 2027–28 prospectus.
