About JMI M.Sc. Biophysics
M.Sc. Biophysics at Jamia Millia Islamia is offered by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences. Admission is through JMI’s own entrance test, which in 2026–27 carried programme code M38 (2-semester: M78).

Who can apply
For 2026–27: Two-year M.Sc.: a three-year B.Sc. in Biosciences, Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Material Science or allied sciences, or B.Tech. in Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or Material Sciences, with at least 55% marks (a non-credit bridge course in basic Mathematics is offered if needed). One-year (2-semester) M.Sc.: a four-year B.Sc. or B.Tech. in these areas with at least 55%. Final-year students should check the prospectus for rules on appearing candidates.
