About B.A. (Hons) History
B.A. (Hons) History is the systematic study of past societies, political systems, cultures, economies and institutions. It covers ancient, medieval, modern and world history, social and economic history, archaeology, historiography, colonialism and nationalism, with a focus on causes, consequences, continuity and change.
JMI offers the programme through its Department of History & Culture. Its objective entrance test goes beyond History: aspirants also need geography, polity, economy, cultural heritage, general science and current affairs. Use the latest pattern as a guide and verify changes in the 2027–28 prospectus.
