About JMI & AMU Class 6
Jamia Millia Islamia conducts an admission test for Class VI in its schools, and Aligarh Muslim University runs its own Class VI school admission process. Both are competitive, so early and systematic preparation makes a real difference.

AMU Class 6 entrance
Aligarh Muslim University also admits students to Class VI of its schools through an entrance test. We prepare students in Mathematics, Science/EVS and English, plus any area in AMU's Guide to Admissions for the session.

The latest published pattern has 100 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks: EVS 50, Mathematics 25 and English 25.
Is there negative marking in the JMI Class 6 entrance?
No. The latest JMI School Prospectus specifies no negative marking, and the test lasts two hours.
Can my child prepare for JMI and AMU Class 6 together?
Yes. Mathematics, English and EVS/Science overlap, so students build one foundation and then practise each university's pattern separately.
When should preparation for the Class 6 entrance start?
As early as possible. Starting early leaves time for concept building, practice, revision and mock tests instead of rushing in the final weeks.
