About BHM / BTTM / B.Voc Food Production
Jamia Millia Islamia offers Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM), Bachelor of Tourism & Travel Management (BTTM) and B.Voc Food Production, all self-financed, through the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management in the Faculty of Management Studies. The three programmes share programme code B36 and one entrance test.
BHM focuses on hotels, hospitality, food and beverage, guest services and hotel operations. BTTM focuses on travel, tourism, airlines, tour operations and destination management. B.Voc Food Production is a vocational programme in culinary skills, kitchen operations, food safety, bakery and food service.
Preparation builds English, general knowledge, current affairs, reasoning, quantitative aptitude and tourism and hospitality awareness, followed by B36-pattern practice.
Who can apply
Senior Secondary School Certificate / Class XII or an equivalent examination from a recognised board with not less than 45% marks in the aggregate of the best five papers (JMI 2026–27 admission schedule). Confirm the final conditions in the 2027–28 prospectus.

AMU
B36 is a JMI-specific code, not an AMU paper. AMU may offer tourism, hospitality or vocational programmes under its own structure, so check the exact programme, eligibility, admission route, test pattern and seats in the 2027–28 AMU notification.
CUET (UG)
There is no single CUET hotel management syllabus. Universities prescribe their own combinations of a language, the General Aptitude Test and domain subjects, so shortlist universities first and choose CUET subjects according to their rules.
